We had so much fun learning about permanent magnets and electromagnets. We made magnetic fishing poles last week and today we made our very own electromagnets. Asking your child about these vocabulary words is a great way to prepare for our test on Wednesday.
Think Spring....these storms are really getting in the way of learning time in room 119!
I did tell the kids this morning that if we have no school tomorrow they should continue with their One School, One Book reading and study for spelling. We are going to use last weeks words...this will give them some extra time to a do a great job Friday! The class has filled the marble jar! They voted on a pajama day with a movie to a book we just finished reading in class! We will have this reward Friday afternoon. We are in need of the following classroom donations: paper towels, wipes, and ziploc bags (sandwich and freezer size) We have been so spoiled with Mystery Readers this year! We now have open slots so if you are interested please let me know! Please make sure to send conference forms in this week. Have a great week!
Congratulations to our STEM Fair participants. I was very impressed with all the hard work that was put into these projects!
Mr. Arena was our Mystery Reader this week. The kids enjoyed reading a book about pasta. We even got to play with dough! He taught the kids an italian song, "Eh Compare". Have a listen! |
